Testimonial
I viewed the loft on a Saturday night at 7:30pm and made an offer on Sunday at 6:30 (also my birthday) following a brief meeting with Jamie. By 8:00pm, I owned my first home…what a whirlwind experience! -

Aroma Espresso Bar is my favourite coffee shop in the city. Apparently, others share the feeling because recently it has been expanding like crazy and opening up multiple new locations. My favourite is the one at Bloor and Bathurst, but they’re all great if you’re in the mood for a delicious breakfast and/or lunch.
Aroma has a great selection of soups, sandwiches, pastries, coffees, and salads. Two of my favourite things about the small chain are their emphasis on consistency and the great quality of ingredients used. With this is mind, you should know that Aroma is on the more expensive side of the city’s cafes, but it’s worth the extra money for the upper end atmosphere and the great food. They even make fresh bread in house every day - how can other coffee shops compete with that?
My personal recommendation is the avocado sandwich on a multigrain bagel. It’s a bit of an odd choice since I’m typically a meat eater, but if I had to eat vegetarian for the day, I would definitely come to Aroma to do it. I also really enjoy their chicken salad sandwich.
Even though the food is consistently great, I can't say the same of their service. Each location has a different staff, ranging from great to needs improvement. I think the Bathurst and Bloor location has a great staff: young, nice, and hardworking. This location also has a really loud, cool vibe, lots of seating, and a great patio in the summer time. Aroma is definitely one to visit.
