La Carnita
La Carnita’s header is that they combine street art with street food, which pretty well sums it up. Originally a food truck, La Carnita is now an actual sit-down restaurant that manages to retain the cool, casual, laid back vibe …(La Carnita continued…)

Testimonial
I had the pleasure for working with Jamie Sarner in early 2012 to help locate my new property in mid-town Toronto. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the market. The patience he took to help me find just the eight location, with all the amenities I had requested was outstanding. I appreciated his candor around the many properties he showed me. -

This trendy burger joint at Dundas and Ossington has only been open for a few years, but it works very hard to give off a vibe that says otherwise. The rustic and old timey decor is obviously somewhat artificial, but it doesn’t stop the place from feeling very cool. Unfortunately, the badly insulated front door also insures that the restaurant is cold. I was freezing even with a thick sweater on.
However, the food improved matters greatly. The burger was very good; well cooked and savoury without being greasy. The blue cheese sauce was also delicious without being too rich. The fries were a little mediocre, but by no means bad.
BQM is a sweet little place to enjoy a well made burger. It has a trendy hipster vibe, plays funky blues music, and employs a perfectly fine wait staff. If you’re in the neighbourhood and feel like taking in some slick decor and a tasty meal, head on over.
