The Drake

The Drake is one of Toronto’s great, classic, high end hotels turned trendy, cool, and modern. It’s a popular spot for photo shoots, cultural events, and more. The Queen West locale also hosts an in house restaurant of the same name which serves up BBQ inspired bar food.

I’ve been to The Drake’s restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and can attest that they’re all good, especially their burger. The menu changes frequently, which I always appreciate, and on the whole they serve good, solid food that, although sometimes underwhelming and overly heavy, is tasty and fine enough.

But where the food is somewhat lacking, the atmosphere and decor take off. The Drake has a fantastic, fun atmosphere, a great outdoor space on their upstairs patio, and the servers are young, attentive, and fun. It’s a perfect place for hanging out before really hitting the town.
