The Longest Yard is both an all right football movie and one of the only places I eat at when I’m at the office. As it’s both conveniently located nearby at Davisville and Mount Pleasant, and offers up tasty standard pub fare, I’m there quite often around lunch time.
I get a chicken wrap whenever I go, which would get repetitive if they didn’t have a great feature where they offer a different flavour every day of the week. In keeping with the chicken theme going on, The Longest Yard also happens to have great buffalo chicken fingers.
Two of the best things about The Longest Yard are its relaxed neighbourhood feel and the consistently friendly service. It’s just a pleasant place to be, especially if you’re planning to watch a sporting event while you’re there. The Longest Yard is an inexpensive, chill place to grab a casual lunch or dinner, or just watch a game with friends.
