It is amazing the difference that one month makes! It seems like just yesterday people were enjoying sunny days in the park, but now Fall is fully upon us. Happy October!
You may have noticed that I have always believed in the importance of giving back to the less fortunate as I have supported a number of charities over the years. This year, I would like to support the Toronto Daily Bread Food Bank, a non-profit organization that is fighting to end hunger in our communities. As Canada's largest food bank, Daily Bread serves people through neighborhood food banks and meal programs in approximately 170 member agencies.
My goal is to raise $2500.00 and it all will begin on October 29th and here is where you can help us with our desire to help for those in need. Shortly, we will be sending to our subscribers a detailed communication that will outline some of the actions that you can do to assist me in my fundraising efforts. Of course if you want to go a step further, you can donate directly as well.

It seems that the mortgage lending guidelines that came into effect in July have done some damage to the market already. The number of sales decreased by 12.5 per cent and the amount of new listings was down by 5.5 per cent compared to August 2011.
Bloordale's Ortolan is an intimate, minimalist space that serves up delicious Italian food. It was started by a few people who left one of my favourite restaurants, Pizza Libretto, pretty much guaranteeing my ardent love for the new restaurant.
Rules for government-backed mortgages have been tightened four times since 2008 by the Canadian Finance Ministry. The latest changes, in July 2012, affected first-time homebuyers the most. Are there any advantages to being a first-time buyer?
Fall is knocking at the door and as the leaves change their colour, we should prepare our homes and gardens for the upcoming cold weather. Here are some tips to keep your home and garden in peak condition.

Jamie helped us purchase our downtown loft years ago at The Merchandise Building where we spent many happy years. Since our experience then was so positive we didnít give a second thought about hiring Jamie again to now sell our loft and help us purchase a new house. After we had signed the listing and established a price and a strategy based on Jamieís recom?mendation we began to start preparing our home for sale which was no small task considering we had just been married and had stuff everywhere. Amazingly, Jamie was able to find a buyer within a few days and we ended up selling our suite for far more than we had anticipated before it even went to the open market. It was again obvious that we had hired the right agent!
Now that we had sold we knew we had to quickly start the hunt for our new home which was not a simple task given that we had particularly unique criteria. Jamie assured us that we would find the right home well within the time of the negotiated closing of our loft sale. We ended up finding the perfect home for our needs in a location that was better than we had expected. Jamie again employed a perfect strategy resulting in us buying this property in a bidding war for far less than we were willing to spend.
I can confidently say that hiring Jamie reduced our stress while achieving a higher sale price on our current property and saving us tens of thousands of dollars on our purchase.
I highly recommend Jamie Sarner as your agent as our results have been fantastic on multiple occasions.
