Jake Keck’s modern vintage furniture store has been open altogether for about 25 years. Machine Age Modern had been located on Queen West at Roncesvalles for 17 years before moving to its present location on Queen Street East.

Their “20th century collection includes modern design icons by legendary masters and rare international finds, all artistically arranged.“ The most significant characteristic of Machine Age Modern is their focus on modern, contemporary design. However, their collection is pretty diverse, ranging from vintage teak furniture from Denmark to Milo Baughman’s sofa or fabulous Pierre Cardin desk made of leather and stainless steel. The collection of Machine Age Modern includes also several Canadian pieces.
